Etiquette and manners

Acceptable Behaviour in England:

The British are said to be reserved in manners, dress and speech. They are famous for their politeness, self-discipline and especially for their sense of humour. Basic politeness (please, thank you, excuse me) is expected.

Terms of Endearment - Names the british may call you:

You may be called by many different 'affectionate' names, according to which part of the Britain you are visiting. Do not be offended, this is quite normal. For example, you may be called dear, dearie, flower, love, chick, chuck, me duck, me duckie, mate, guv, son, ma'am, madam, miss, sir, or treacle, according to your sex, age and location.

Manners are Important!- DOs and DON'TS (Taboos) in England

Dos - In England...

Do stand in line: In England people like to form orderly queues (standing in line) and wait patiently for their turn (e.g. boarding a bus). It is usual to queue when required, and expected that you will take your correct turn and not push in front. 'Queue jumping' is frowned upon.

Do take your hat off when you go indoors (men only): It is impolite for men to wear hats indoors especially in churches. Nowadays, it is becoming more common to see men wearing hats indoors. However, this is still seen as being impolite, especially to the older generations.

Do say "Excuse Me": If someone is blocking your way and you would like them to move, say excuse me and they will move out of your way.

Do say "Please" and "Thank you": It is very good manners to say "please" and "thank you". It is considered rude if you don't. You will notice in England that people say 'thank you' a lot.

Do cover your mouth: When yawning or coughing always cover your mouth with your hand.

Do shakehands: When you are first introduced to someone, shake their right hand with your own right hand.

Do say sorry: If you accidentally bump into someone, say 'sorry'. They probably will too, even if it was your fault! This is a habit and can be seen as very amusing by an 'outsider'.

Do Smile: A smiling face is a welcoming face.

Do open doors for other people: Men and women both hold open the door for each other. It depends on who goes through the door first.

Dont's - In England...

Do not greet people with a kiss: They only kiss people who are close friends and relatives.

Avoid talking loudly in public.

Do not ask a lady her age: It is considered impolite to ask a lady her age

Do not pick your nose in public: British are disgusted by this. If your nostrils need de-bugging, use a handkerchief.

Avoid doing gestures such as backslapping and hugging: This is only done among close friends.

Together for Earth

The planet earth is our source of life and we need it in order to live, the lives of everyone on the planet depends on our actions, I speak for myself, I gotta take care of the planet for the future my children and grandchildren can live as we live.
We can change the world, simply just an attitude, a single attitude; this attitude is to take care of nature around us. A paper on the street, a bag on the beach, all that pollutes and it is my duty and your pick up and play in a proper place. You can’t throw garbage on the street, I've played and I regret it, I want to one day reverse this case and it must have great attitudes.
I think together we can change and reverse this case. Friends together can overcome barriers and change all that. A program that we can mirror is Friends for Change, because even the famous are worried about hat. And it can be seen that the concern of all it is important to change the event that the planet is. Many say that the politicians and the authorities do their part, but in my opinion is necessary to walk and seek to make our goal and be able to talk about people, it is our obligation, the part of him just leave, just do your part search.
Opinion of a respondent:
Public opinion on climate change is the aggregate of attitudes or beliefs held by the adult population concerning the science, economics, and politics of global warming. It is affected by media coverage of climate change.
In countries varying in awareness, an educational gap translates into a gap in awareness. However an increase in awareness does not always result in an increase in perceived threat.

Economic debates weigh the benefits of limiting industrial emissions of mitigating global warming against the costs that such changes would entail. While there is a greater amount of agreement over whether global warming exists, there is less agreement over the appropriate response.
Public opinion impacts on the issue of climate change because governments need willing electorates and citizens in order to implement policies that address climate change. Further, when climate change perceptions differ between the populace and governments, the communication of risk to the public becomes problematic. Finally, a public that is not aware of the issues surrounding climate change may.
It has been demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that the climate is changing due to man-made greenhouse gases. We are already committed to future substantial change over the next 30 years and change is likely to accelerate over the rest of the 21st century.
There is strong evidence that the warming of the Earth over the last half-century has been caused largely by human activity, such as the burning of fossil fuels and changes in land use, including agriculture and deforestation.

Consequences.

Thousand of years ago with the emergence of life on earth, the living things (animals, bacteria, etc...) and humans were adapting to the earth. Cith the increased of population, carbon gas, jobs or even in terms of human beings. Consequences? Today the market thinks that money, moves the world. The position in relation to the environment is totally contrary. We are still harming our greatest asset, our Fauna and our health.
To combat global warming would require all of us if we help the planet. Use less harmful fuels, not to burn the afforested, and reduce the use of e-waste.
